April Cove Roadway Rules

Roadway Rules

The Board of Directors of the ACMF and the Architectural Control Committee are guided by a set of legal documents on file at the Freestone County Clerks Office in Fairfield.  These documents are also shown on this website.  The oldest document is the original Deed Restrictions from 1988, followed by the By Laws in 1997.  Various amendments to both have been filed over the years, to meet the needs of the property owners in April Cove.

In 2011, the Texas legislature addressed homeowner rights and homeowner association laws.  The laws that they enacted, required many changes in the dedicatory documents to bring them into compliance.  It was around this time that Additional Rules and Regulations and Roadway Rules documents were created.

Changes to the Deed Restrictions require a 67% majority vote by the membership.

Changes to the By Laws can be made by a majority vote at the annual meeting.

Changes to the Additional Rules and Regulations, and the Roadway Rules can be made by a vote among the Board of Directors, who are elected by the membership at the annual meeting.

If you have questions about any of the Deed Restrictions and By Laws please don't hesitate to contact a Board member.

FYI

Each page is marked with a Volume number and page number, and is one of the ways the particular documents are identified.  These numbers may not show up readily on the versions above.  Please contact a board member or use the contact information here, if you need the volume and page numbers for any of the governing documents.
